Face Front, True Believers! This week we return for another Annihilation event tie-in mini-series (almost done,) but along the way we also talk about 1976’s The Man Called Nova and 1989’s Quasar #1! This one is a rare instance where Diabolu Frank, Illegal Machine and Mr. Fixit are unanimous in their decision on a book, but is it thumbs up or thumbs down? Also, the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag was rather full this week, but that doesn’t stop Frank from tacking on a Dr. Strange casting discussion! Episode art tumblr here.

Note: We like our language NSFW salty, and there be spoilers here…

As you can tell, we love a fierce conversation and a pretty picture, so why don’t you socialize with us, either by leaving a comment on this page or…

  1. I’m not sure what to say here since I’ve read even less Nova than you guys, but I did think it important to chime in and say I listened and enjoyed the episode. Annihilation has often been recommended to me on the basis of DnA’s writing, but I guess a lot of it WASN’T written by those guys. Looks like the parts that were are actually worth it!

  2. Siskoid!

Yeah, we all agree that Nova is a nobody. Quasar, too. Without having finished Annihilation yet, I’d say (as I said in the podcast) you could read the Annihilation Prologue, Nova and jump to the actual Annihilation mini series. Especially if you listened to our podcasts. Prologue/Nova are the stars of the show so far.
