  1. A lot of nitpicks, there, guys. But after Frank ruined Guardians, I don’t know what I was expecting ;-).

I spilled a lot of virtual ink on the BlackWidowGate, so I won’t do so again. As for the rest, my biggest AGREE is with Frank on how it seemed like a response to Man of Steel. I had the same “glow”. Biggest DISAGREE is probably with any notion that the continuity implants to the coming Infinity War are any good. They kept taking me out of the movie, and I really have zero use for Infinity Gauntlet bullshit and Marvel during those days. It’s just a distraction to me. Stick to this story, don’t sell me a movie that’s 3 years off.

It WAS too full, and I think if they’d cut some of that Infinity Crap out, there would have been more room for things that were glossed over, like Ultron’s motivation.

  2. Still listening to the episode, but I had to pipe in early to say Ill Mac comparing Pietro to the cologne-soaked douche selling iPhone cases at the mall cracked me up!

  3. Ultron captured Black Widow because ScarJo was way pregnant. In the scenes when Ultron is talking to her and she’s locked in the cell, she’s either curled up on the ground or seated or it’s close up shots of her face and you can’t see her baby bump.

Thor’s whole “Vision Quest” was gutted in the editing room. Whedon said there was a lot more to that subplot; maybe that part would have made more sense if we had another ten minutes.

Here’s a fun game: Go back into the first two teasers and trailers for this film and count how many specific shots were NOT in the final film. It’s crazy!

  4. I never read any of the Ultimate titles either, but I’m getting really tired of getting a hand-wave when Pym didn’t invent Ultron, Vision doesn’t have Simon Williams brain patterns, Wanda doesn’t have hex powers “because that’s how it is in the Ultimates.” Someone who DOES read the Ultimates, please chime in!
I’ll second Frank’s comparison of Age of Ul,tron to Man of Steel. Well done, sir!
