  1. Just watched ANT-MAN last night so I’m still processing the good, the bad, and the meh of that.

A whole year to get through six episodes of Annihilation coverage? MSH is the podcast equivalent of Bryan Hitch on ULTIMATES 2 or John Cassaday on ASTONISHING X-MEN. Slow but pretty, probably award-calibre.

One of my main fantasy projects if I ever worked for Marvel would be an Annihilation-style event based on Marvel’s horror characters. Set it up with a prelude miniseries starring Dr. Strange and Daimon Hellstrom. Then miniseries starring the original “Legion of Monsters”, Ghost Rider, Morbius, Man-Thing, and Werewolf by Night, before culminating in a massive supernatural epic with appearances by Dracula, Manphibian, Simon Garth, Monster of Frankenstein, Satana, Blade and the Nightstalkers. Oh well…

I don’t remember if it was this episode or last one where Mac said Vision is the Adam Warlock of the MCU but it makes perfect sense. Now I’m curious where GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Volume 2 will go. Fingers crossed for Ego The Living Planet!

  2. Took me forever to get to this one because I kept holding out hope I would read Annihilation some day. I’ve given up on it, so thanks for covering it. Our long international nightmare is finally over… right?

Mac and me, related? Has yet to be proven. Note that while I’ve lived in your state, my blood is French-Canada-pure. I can’t even find any Irish blood in my family tree like all my coolest friends have. Or any Anglo blood. Or any Native blood. Looks like my ancestors were deeply xenophobic.

But “leaves close together”… I guess that means we’re in the same forest and drinking from the same water supply. Yeah, I think that could work. I’m going to start using that expression now.

My modesty: I don’t think I get nearly as much traffic and comments as you think I do. But I don’t do it for that anyway. The small community of dedicated readers and commenters is more than enough for me; quality over quantity (which is the reverse of my blogging strategy, bwah-ha-ha).
