The year is 1987, and NASA launches the last of America’s deep space probes. In a freak mishap, Ranger 3 and its pilot, Captain William “Buck” Rogers, are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life-support systems, and returns Buck Rogers to Earth, 500 years later…
Diabolu Frank is joined by Mr. Fixit to discuss the feature-length first original television episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, following the reedited theatrical pilot. After its debut, “Planet of the Slave Girls” was broken into the 3rd & 4th episodes of the show for reruns & syndication. This one stars Gil Gerard, Erin Gray, and David Groh, with special guest stars Jack Palance, Roddy McDowall, & Buster Crabbe. We totally forgot the subplot with the lady spy assassinating the super-computer, but we’re still the only Buck Rogers podcast with Black Emanuelle cross-content, so we’ve got that going for us.
