Face Front, True Believers! It’s been two months since our last #MarvelSHP! We do other Rolled Spine Podcasts, so you could subscribe to another stream if you for really and truly missed us, but that’s not your scene, is it? So fine then– you get to miss Illegal Machine and Mister Fixit some more, because they’re not on this episode, either!

This week we return to a forgotten feature of the podcast, Wild Agents of Marvel, named after the 1990s fan club from the House of Ideas! Here we spotlight the stories of our friends and listeners! Regular appreciator (of all our shows, fair weather friends) and podcast virgin Token Fire Guy tells how he got into comics, The Dark Tower, and generally gabs with our own Diabolu Frank! Poor (T.F.) Guy’s probably got balls of blue, having recorded much of this show over a year ago, and placed in deep freeze until we were ready for him to defrost au flambé to entertain you! Then, original W.A.M. Man Count Drunkula of Secret Origins Podcast and Flowers & Fishnets: A Black Canary Podcast takes audio Frank specifically told him he had no interest in broadcasting that was part of a warm-up chat for one of his podcasts, emailed it to Frank anyway, and our boy shamelessly threw it in to expand this show! Finally, the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag! Excelsior!

Face Front, True Believers! Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit and Diabolu Frank have been podcasting for one week shy of a year, and with other plans for next week, we decided to devote nearly an hour to fellating ourselves like the ribless circle jerks we are on the show’s “secret origins” and such, plus we talk Comicpalooza 2015. Then, it’s been many, many moons since our last substantial Marvel Mail Bag dive on this podcast, so we devote the better part of two hours in dialogue with you, our beloved listeners. And by “dialogue” we mean shenanigans like Frank going on an epic length rant against Superman based on Kyle Benning inoffensively offering a few modest corrections to our off-the-cuff talk about ’90s Man of Steel stories. Face Front, True Believers! It’s been four months since #MarvelSHP Annual 2014, so we felt like it was time to push out another clip show as a seasonal event! However, due to another recording error where Frank’s stupid laptop with the dicey USB port defaulted to a crumby internal microphone, the vast majority of this extra-length, minimally-edited show will be new material! To listeners, anyway! Well, as new as our continuing to talk noise about comic book media adaptations and other nerd ephemera gets! Besides roughly an hour of Mister Joe Fixit taking the fore (for once,) we also dug into the vaults for a best of compilation of episode three– SDCC 2014 FYI and episode sixteen– NYCC 2014 FYI, scavenging whatever pearls we could find from our coverage of comic conventions from last year (including previously deleted tangents!) Also, before and after candor for
episode 21– Howard the Duck (1986)! While Moon Knight is barely a subject this episode, he’s an excellent figurehead for the show’s dissociative identity disorder, as we spend most of the second hour in the role of The DC Super Heroes Podcast! Cast a nostalgic ear toward the days when our equipment was garbage and there was tons of audible artifacts (Ooo thunderstorms! Dogs! TV in the background!) It’s even more strictly amateur hour than usual, so much so that we can’t even be trusted to keep it at an hour!
